Hi all.
Am new and have been postive under various categories not knowing the origin of my symptoms. They range from head to toe and if you have the patience to read, they are as follows: (You may skip this section)
-------------------------------------
Skin:
§ Redness, yellowness, red rashes, darker skin with a lot of thin blue veins visible under the skin – palms, fingers and feet. Hands are getting redder and darker each day.
§ My hands become blood red (extremely red) after washing in warm/hot water.
Joints:
§ Stiff and painful joints including those of fingers, toes, knees, hip and jaw
§ TMD (Temporomandibular disorder)
Muscles:
§ Muscle pain all over the body- back, abs, legs. Extreme pain.
§ Muscle stiffness, tension/strains and spasms - in abs and legs
§ The muscle tissues and tendons under the skin are stiff/hard; they can be felt and are very tender to touch. They hurt when pressed or touched. Especially the muscles of the abs and thighs. It hurts when you press even lightly.
Digestive issues:
§ Constipation, Bloody stools
§ Severe Chest Pain caused by heartburn and acid refluxes everyday- Never had this before.– Usually relieved by taking Zantac 150 - Could this be GERD?
Respitory issues:
§ Difficulty breathing- It hurts when speaking and breathing. I feel short of breath when speaking or walking for a little while. This is accompanied by elevated heart rate and uneasiness caused by the feeling of having something very heavy on the chest.
Sjogren’s Syndrome symptoms:
§ Extremely dry mouth and sometimes its tough swallowing. Drinking water helps temporarily.
§ Dry eyes, irritation/grittiness in eyes. Blurriness.
§ Dry skin and dandruff
Eyes:
§ Significantly impaired vision- lot of blurriness that came out all of a sudden. Started a few days before the migraine came on.
§ Pain in and around eyes
Others:
§ Weakness and fatigue – always tired
§ Migraines
§ Random pain- all of sudden one part will begin to hurt a lot – sharp throbbing or stabbing pain localized to that area- lasts for a few seconds to minutes and goes away.
§ Numbness – arms and legs- especially during sleep
Palpitations and nervousness, irregular heartbeats – happens at random times
-----------------------------------------
I am very concerned because there are days i have woken up with extreme pain in some of my muscles and joints - no obvious reason. I did not work those muscles. Additionally, i get these random sharp stabbing pains in various locations. Some muscles/tissues are very tender to touch. I feel numbness too at times, especially along my left arm. Most of the pain occurs on my right side. All this started happenning recently and i think as far as GERD symptoms are concerned, they may be side-effects from NSAIDs i have been taking. In addition to this, at times, i get serious muscle strains in some areas. I also have stiffness. The inability to relax the muscles is making me worry.
I have been positively diagnosed with TMJ and Sjogren's. I am seeing a Rheumatologist, Neurologist, GI specialist, Ophthalmologist and a dentist now to treat the varied symptoms.
Any help??? I would really appreciate that coz my life hasnt been the same in past 45 days and am very worried because most blood work and x-rays came out negative. My PCP thinks its a combination of auto-immune and neurological disorder. He doesnt know what it is and has referred me to speacialists.
I hope to figure this out soon. Thank ya all for being so patient...
Thank you and good luck to all of you.

Hi
I am so sorry you are going through so many things. Auto Immune diseases can sometimes be so hard to pin point to exactly which one it is. So many symptoms and problems overlap. I think a rheumatologist and a neurologist are good ideas. I pray that you can get to the bottom of what is happening and get some help. Good luck to you and if you feel like it, let us know what you find out out. I'll say a prayer for you. Bern

Hello to both of you.
Thank you for the good wishes. I cant belive something like this can come up all of a sudden and wont go away. It's scary. Some of my symtoms overlap with Leukemia too and that worries me. The most important of which if the muscle tenderness i was talking about. This tenderness is mainly in the spleen and liver area. Also there is some name for that red skin rash... I dont think it is Leukemia because the blood count and stuff like that was normal. But if nothing pans out from these visits, i think it would be worth considering a meeting with an oncologist. I am trying my best to have a positive attitude. Atleast be happy until i know something is wrong !!:)
Talk to you guys soon. Thanks for the support.
