Hello!

My hubby just came through his 11th operation for Crohn's, however, this is the first time he has had any wound seepage. The operation was three weeks ago, he came home one week ago, and yesterday he found his wound was seeping a light pink clear sticky juice. It is still seeping today, but much less than yesterday. Has anyone had a similar experience?

Thanks for any information, and best wishes for good health to all! :)

I have also had many surgeries for my crohns. I find that each time I heal less well and do have some seepage. More so when the incision is right through a area that has had a incision before. Long as though the doctor is aware of this and there is no signs of infection I would not worry. And also if he has been taking prendision this causes the wound to heal more slowly.

Thank you for the response, daylilycat.

Since he never had this during any of his previous operations, we were trying to decide whether to haul him to the ER or wait to talk to his surgeon's office after the weekend. Things always seem to happen on the weekends, don't they? He is seeing his surgeon this Friday as a follow up, but we notified their office today of the seepage. The PA said it was OK to wait until Friday unless other problems such as fever surface.

Thanks again! :)
