hi sorry i would search but this is urgent! what if ive taken all my pills correctly but i start my period before im finished with my sugar pills im on day (25) (26) if you count that its midnight and its now sunday but i started bleeding day 25. so do i finish or start day one today? thanks so much

Your period is SUPPOSED to come during the sugar pills. The way the pill works is 21 pills have hormones in them. They keep you from getting pregnant. Then there are 7 sugar pills with no hormones. The lack of hormones makes the lining in your uterus break down and you bleed, having a "period". After the 7 sugar pills, you open a new pack of pills and start taking the hormone pills again.
