My two month old's hair is primarily dark brown except for two large patches on the top of his head which are white blonde. I hope that it starts to blend in but it's been like that since birth and the light patches appear to be getting bigger. Does anyone else have a child with hair like this?

My kids aren't like that but I have a patch of white/gray hair on the side of my head. It's a birthmark.

I've always had it and always will. I'm not saying that's what your child has, as kid's hair can change colour a lot but that's my story!

My oldest daughter (now 5) has dark brown hair but has always has a couple of patches where the hair grows in blonde. I used to be concerned but as she got older and the hair grew longer it looks like beautiful highlights. My other daughter has small patches in her light brown hair that are light blonde but it too looks like highlights.

I also know other people who have a circular white spot in their hair. I agree that must be a birthmark and those types of things usually just give us character http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/wink.gif

im a hair stylist... sounds like a birth mark to me as well...

My son has strawberry blond hair...in the winter it gets darker, in the summer it lightens up. When we cut his hair very short, he has a blond strip that runs from the left side in the back, to about the middle, half way down. If we let his hair grow to longer than a couple of inches, it's barely noticeable, but when we buzz it, you can see it plain as day. I thought that maybe he'd eventually grow out of it; but I hope not now, it's kinda cute!

I am 16 and have brownhair and a huge white streak n the right side of my hair. it's very large. about half of my hair. i think its great and unique, just like me..i was wondering if anyone else knows of ppl with this type of birtmark too. please reply

my stepson and my cousin both have a chunk of white/blonde hair in the back of their hair. they both have brown hair.

a neighbor lady has a huge blonde piece in her really dark hair, right in the front!

ive heard, not sure if this is true, the people with that birthmark tend to have ear problems? my cousin does..just wonder if anyone else heard that.
