I'll be starting on the pill as soon as my next perod comes. I was just wondering what affects it will have on my body (nausea, breakthrough bleeding) I hear about headaches. Will i still be able to operate a car under these conditions? And after how many days do you start feeling them/or start going away? Thanks!

I have just come off the pill as I am trying to get pregnant but I was on it for about 14 years. I never suffered any nausea, head aches, weight gain or other side effects they say can happen and the most positive points were my periods were much lighter and the period pains weren't half as bad!!

I'm not saying you will be the same as me as everybody reacts differently to different medications but the pill worked for me.

Hope this helps?!

There are side effects that come with anything you take it just depends on how it effects the individual person... normal side effects of the pill are nausea, break through bleeding, headaches, sore breast ect... but there are also benefits like the previous poster mentioned it just depends on how your body reacts to it Good Luck.....

The BC really affects people differently. Yes, there are side effects such as you listed but being a pill user for over a year now, I have not experienced anything so debilitating that I am not able to function normally, e.g. driving a car. On the other hand, I have lighter and regular menstrual periods, it has helped clear up my skin and don't experience mood swings near my period. It is really a matter of getting on the right pill that will suit you.

The only negative side effects i've noticed have been sore breast.Sometime so painful to the point i feel they are about to pop,but as a woman we have all gone through that with normal cycles. The only way to know what to expect is to find out and try it.The pill has helped me dramatically with PMS and heavy bleeding as i pretty much only spot for a few days now.Not going through PMS every month kinda messes with my head tho.I'm always waiting for that feeling of knowing my period is coming and the mood swings that go with it.For some reason it just doesn't seem comforting, lol.I've always had that manic thing tho and now that it's gone I sorta miss it.
