I have macular edema and although I have had laser treatments, my vision seems to be worsening. It held steady or improved for 6 months and now it is worsening in my right eye. My left eye is very poor.
I have diabetes which is now under good control, but I have severe retinal damage which involves the macula. The doctor says I'm now developing scar tissue and some unwanted new blood vessels.
Is there anyone else out there with low vision problems? I am at my wits end trying to cope. I'm totally terrified I will get worse. What has been your treatment program? I feel like my doctor is doing a lot of watching and waiting. I want a more aggressive approach.
Just talking to someone who understands would help so much.
