Hey, I recently had to go off the pill because they found a blood clot in my arm from it. I ended the pack with two pills left to take, so my period came a couple days before normal. That was on March 19th...now its May 16th and i haven't gotten another one since! I guess my question is is it normal to be this late after going off the pill, im not pregnant because i took a test. Has anyone else experienced this when going off the pill?? Thank you!

This is totally normal when going off the pill. The pill suppresses ovulation and when you go off of the pill, it takes a while sometimes for ovulation to start up again. This is because while on the pill your body relies on those hormones and doesnt bother to make its own. Once you stop taking the pill, it takes your body a while to go "Oops! I'm not getting hormones anymore! Better makes some!" No hormones being made means not only no ovulation, but also not enough build up in the uterus each month to be shed in the form of a period. Give it a bit longer. Your body will realize soon enough that it needs to make hormones again and then your period will return. :)

Hey,
I knew i had a blood clot because my arm became really swollen and painful. It would also get soo tired by the end of the day it was just uncomfortable and sore to move....so watch out for the syptoms..although it is a very rare thing !
