My social worker says pnuemothorax may be grounds for disability. Does anyone know if this is true?

Bella,
Social security is not so much concerned with your diagnosis, but rather what you are still able to do despite your physical problems. Their decision isn't based on a diagnosis alone. Social security has a strict definition of disability. You might want to visit their website to see if you think you might meet that definition. The only way to know if you you'd be approved is to apply.

Just what exactly caused your lung to collapse? Was this caused by trauma or some sort of a medical condition?Marcia
