I'm scheduled to have a hysterosonogram (ultrasound with saline injected into uterus). Can anyone tell me how painful this is? My doctor told me to take some ibuprofen an hour before. From what I've read about it, some moderate cramping is involved right?
He also said that I may be a candidate for the NovaSure procedure if my fibroids are not deep into the wall of the uterus. Has anyone had this done?
Thanks for your help in advance. :)

I had the hystersonogram a year ago. When I arrived at the hospital I was a little surprised because they considered me a short stay patient. Once in the room they gave me some motrin and began the exam. It really wasn't bad from what I recall. The dr I had was very gentle and soft spoken so that helped. I didn't need anything more than the motrin. Good luck.
