Hi,
When I wake up in the morning, I feel fine, my belly is flat and when I breathe out it stays the same.
But half way through the day, if I eat something it swells out and looks horrible.
Take today for example all I have eating in as roll with cheese and tomatoes and I feel really sick and my belly is bloated. How do I get this to stop.
Please help me, I don't know what to do.
Any one got any ideas???

I read something about when you don't eat for a long time and then eat, your stomach gets bloated because it's not used to the food or something and..........okay I don't remember the whole story (lol) but if you haven't eaten in a while and then you do, that'll happen and it's normal. Just give it some time and you'll go flat again. Sorry for the confusion. :D

The best thing to "do" is to stop focusing on your stomach and the need to be perfectly flat. No one has a perfectly flat stomach unless they eat nothing and drink nothing, and you should definately know that that is IN NO WAY healthy. The best thing to "do" like I said, is to eat normally, get your stomach used to processing food again, and eventually it will settle and be "flat"...but you aren't going to be able to starve yourself and then eat even a morsel of food and have nothing happen!

bloating is very common in women anyway. we all bloat from time to time, and get water retention. if you stick to just fruit and veg , hrough any weight concerns, you will bloat as all that gas gets released as the food digests. you need a balanced diet, with good old water being one of the best things to keep everything going through nicely, plus it does wonders for your skin. mind you i can never practise what i preach. very rarely it can be an intolerance, but people plump for this too often and it's not that common. if you have a flat belly at other times, then i would not be worrying at all, unless you have pain or other symptoms.

hi
i don't know what country this board is based in but i'm in australia and i've found a product from the supermarket called degas is really helpful. i have IBS and GERD as well as an ED, my gastro tracts don't work as well as they could and degas is great for getting rid of bloating caused by gas.

Does it bloat when you eat particular things for eg you said you ate a roll, maybe you have a wheat allery or foods of some kind make you react. You could always get tested. It could be something quite simple that could be resolved by changing what you eat.

I will 99.9999999% guarantee you that it has nothing to do with allergies, intolerances to gluten/wheat/dairy/etc. If you are eating next to nothing and then you do eat something, your stomach will process this food slowly because it is basically in starvation mode. Not only that, but when anyone eats something, their belly bloats a little bit because they have put food into themselves! There really is nothing more to it than that. I know this is completely not what you want to hear, but the only way to "stop" the bloating feeling is to force yourself to feel it for a couple days as you increase the amt youre eating to a normal level. When you are eating normally again, your body will s l o w l y work itself out of starvation mode.

i'm the same way! its from where we are not used to eating food or eating normal amounts of it, it'll get better as you eat more, its kinda painful and annoying though is'nt it?!
