I need some advice regarding seeing a cardiologist. I recently found out that my Triglycirides are high (plus 300) and my "bad" cholestrol is also high. Should I see a cardiologist or simply see a general practioner?

A place to start could be your PCP - internist, Family practice physician. From which (kind of) doctor did you receive the news about your triglycerides and LDL levels? Is that doctor a possibility?

I wouldn't think you would need a specialist at this point unless you have other heart conditions already.
