i am trying to not get my period the month of my wedding(july) cause i dont want to deal with the pms and bloating and dont want my period to come for the honeymoon so..i am on yasmin...just did one pack..skipped the sugar pills and am on the second pack but a week after taking the second pack i have had a strange period for over a week where i am bleeding with really dark blood...almost black...its not a heavy flow...just spotting maybe but its really annoying i thought this was supposed to let me not get my period! does anyone have any experience with this ..i am seeing my doctor next week and can talk to her then but until then when will this dark spotting stop??

There's no way to say for sure when your breakthrough bleeding will end. It may well last until after you take a break and begin the next pack of pills.

You could also just keep on taking your pills, since the bleeding doesnt mean the pill's efficiency is compromised, just that your body isn't used to not bleeding once a month. I wouldnt suggest trying to skip your period again after this pack, I'd suggest taking a week off after this pack and then starting up again, so taht that way when you go to skip in July it's more likely to work.
