View Full Version : Could I have chronic fatigue?

Dizzy

For about the past 5 months I have been suffering with dizziness and bouts of 'weakness' and heart palpitations (occassional rapid heartbeat). I was diagnosed with labyrinthitis but this did not explain the periodic faintess (feel like I'm starting to 'black out') and weakness in my limbs. In the last couple of months I have developed a sore throat and have become so weak that its hard for me to even stand for even a few minutes. My limbs feel shaky all the time and my GP says my blood pressure is low. However - I have had no diagnosis, no treatment or no advice for how to manage this. Do I have chronic fatigue and is this why I can't do ANYTHING??? (ie even wash the dishes). I'm not actually sleepy - just weak. Any advice welcome!!!

Hi dizzy and welcome to the board.
I think you should really go and see your doctor about this , when you are having these type of systoms its time to talk to your doc and if he can't find anything wrong than get a second opinion. Just wondering hows your diet and do you exercise?

Diet is good (I think...) Exercise is out of the question!! I can't walk up the stairs properly right now due to weakness and racing heartbeat. Back to Doctor's again I suppose...

Dizzy,
Have you had blood work done to rule out thyroid disorder? If you have not yet make a doctor's appt. and get it checked.
Some of your symptoms sound like it.
Take Care,
EMILY
