I have been reading the messages and am so glad that I found this board. Does anyone know if a severe pulled groin muscle in someone who has not done any strenuous movement and is not overweight, could be a symptom of CFS? I am 45, for the past 4 years have felt run down, have recurring strep throat, have been tested for Mono at least 3 times a year (always negative), received positive Epstein Barr results, have severe depression, and have no energy.
Several doctors have tested me for all types of things (thyroid, etc.) but have not come up with anything. Now, 10 days ago, I started getting a dull ache in my right groin and it has become much worse, w/ the pain now traveling down my thigh. I am in terrible pain whenever I move or try to walk. The thing is, I did not do anything physically challenging! The day it began hurting, I had been sitting at my desk all day.
Does this sound weird or is it possible that I do have CFS and this type of thing happens?
My doctor has recommended that I see a rheumatologist - what would a rheumatologist check me for?
Any and all advice Please!
