Just like the pill has different effects on different women, I've also been noticing (by reading this baord) that different brands have different effects (such as yasmin, and others) I'm just wondering if anybody here is on or has been on Microgestin, that's the one my doctor prescribed to me. She called it "the beginner pill" haha because it's what she starts alot of people on before they decide they wnat to try others. So if you're on it or once were, please let me know what you liked or duidn't liek about it.

I've been on it for over a year and it seems to be ok. I had only taken Ortho Tri Cyclin for one month before I was switched to Microgestin so I can't really compare it to any other BC's. I didn't gain weight, it may have helped my acne, I don't have mood swings, headaches, etc. I am thinking about trying something new b/c I think it's decreased my sex drive. I'm scared to switch b/c I've never really been on anything else and this works pretty well with my body, but I'll never know if I don't try.

Hey, better safe than sorry I always say. It's important to do research before we put any medications (not just birth control) into our bodies. You can't depend on the doctors to know what's best for you, only you know that. :)
