Hey Everyone, I have a couple of questions maybe some one can help....

I am eighteen I weigh about 125 pounds and I work out often however I have very low self esteem. I see all of these other girls that are thinner than me in the movies, at school etc...I have tried many diets and they work for a while (about 4 days) and then I binge. It's like my body wants to eat tons and tons of food, and I can't stop it....It's like I eat bad foods too not anything healty but it is almost like I am in a trance and I don't think about what I am doing...I am sick and tired of feeling this way I really don't know what is wrong. I looked up binge eating online and I fit the symptoms perfectly....feeling out of control is the major sign. It's like I feel so gross and soo out of control. Does anyone have any advice or help? I know I am not fat but it is the mental factor the feeling soo bad about myself and feeling fat when I am not. Any advice or anything I can do??

Thanks,

oh my gosh, that sounds exactly like me..... i'm 22 and binge quite often. i've had this problem for about 3 years. how many times do you eat a day?? try eating a small meal every 2/3 hours, so your lookin at about 5/6 meals a day. that will get your metabolism sky high and possiblely make you less likely to binge. i also found if i try to cut out carbs, that just leads to more binging, so don't do that, instead, for your first 3 meals of the day, have a protein(always eat the protein first), and a healthy carb such as: plain baked sweet potato or regular potato the size of your fist, 1/2 cup of plain old fashion oatmeal, try putting SPLENDA or STEVIA in it to sweeten,or 2 slices of whole wheat toast with that spray butter or NO SUGAR ADDED JAM. but just pick one of the above listed carbs and 1 protein for each of the first 3 meals of the day.
the last 3 meals of the day try this: pick your protein such as: grilled/baked chicken breast, 1-2 cans tuna with mustard-no mayo & relish(if you like) any type of grilled/baked fish,or egg whites/eggs(also use these proteins for your first 3 meals of the day) and choose a salad to go with, or 1 cup of any type of vegetables steamed or raw. if you get hungry at night, eat more protein, and if your craving carbs, eat vegetables. by the way, eating a cup of vegetables at night will NOT cause you to gain weight.
anyway, try if you want.........later girl :)

Thanks,

well, when i follow the diet, i have no binges, i think because the 3 healthy carbs in the first 3 meals of the day sustain me and i don't want anything with processed sugar. BUT, when i start to cut carbs out is when the binges and the cravings start up again. by the way, this diet i described is actually a diet designed to make an individual lose bodyfat quite quickly, at the same time preserving muscle, it is a figure/fitness CONTEST DIET given to me by my trainer back when i thought i was going to compete. it worked REALLY well. you use that diet for the first 4 weeks or so of your 12 week dieting, then you switch to a different, more harsh diet, and so on.
yes, PLEASE let me know how it goes for you! :)
later girl!
