Three weeks ago I fell asleep with the radio on very loud, it was actually set on static because I was trying to block out the noise from the neighbors. I realized when I woke up it was way too loud. I had a feeling of fullness in my ears, some pain, dulled hearing and a headache.
Right now I'm noticing that my hearing is not as sharp. I do notice a slight difference in volume but what really bothers me is my hearing is not clear, and it's mostly obvious when I'm listening to music or watching a movie.
My ears still feel like they are blocked or something. I was thinking maybe my eustachian tubes are blocked because I have allergies and I had that problem a few months ago. I'm really depressed about the idea that I may have permanently damaged my hearing and feel stupid. Especially since from what I've read, no hearing aid can restore your hearing to what it once was, which means I would never be able to enjoy music with the same clarity I once did. I could deal with a volume loss but it's the dullness that is really bothering me.
Is there any hearing aid out there that can improve the clarity of music?
Thanks in advance for any feedback.
