I was just wondering if anyone out there has headaches everyday like I do? When I don't have one, I feel weird, like, "Wow, I don't have a headache, it's a great day!" I try to get as much as done as I can before one comes on, it's usually sinus or stress I try different things to see what works. I used to take Imitrex for the actual Migraines I get, but decided to just try to deal with them on my own. Also, does anyone out there always get a weird headache, usually on the tope of your head, anytime you go out in the sun? I live in FL so avoiding the sun is impossible. My sister loves walking outside and doing stuff in her garden, but I always get a bad headache? Are some people just born sensitive to the sun or the heat? I don't know. :jester:

If you are suffering from daily headaches/migraines, suggest that you ask your doctor about Topamax. It will cut down on the frequency of migraines & migraine attacks. You take it everyday.

I also suffer from occipital migraines (top of head). When I go out in the sun, I never leave the house without my, Zomigs, sunglasses & hat. I love the heat but my migraines don't. I live in New Jersey.

Hi,
I've been getting pressure headaches for the last few weeks, almost every
day. I went to my doctor tuesday and he feels it is stress related. I will be
getting a battery of blood and neurological tests soon. I'm a little freaked out
though and am imagining the worst. I do feel some tension in my neck and
shoulders and am trying to work it out with trigger-point therapy. I do it myself with a thing called a Theracane, and book about this kind of therapy. It seems to help the pressure while I'm doing the treatment, but they come back shortly after. I am also taking meds for high blood pressure, Vasotec and Metoprolol (Metoprolol can have all kinds of nasty side effects, and I'm wondering if it is causing my headaches, it's a beta-blocker). I also take
Xanax, Prevacid, and was just started on Effexor XR for depression. I would love to get off of all this stuff, but they are all things you can't just stop taking. And my BP has been in a good range. Any advice welcome.

Hi, I have a quick suggestion. Maybe check your home and area where you go a lot for mold. It can be hard to find, but it can cause frequent headaches. I had them for more than a year and just recently found that there was mold in the vent and in my bathroom. I had been to the doctor and hospital due to the headaches and given migraine medication to sinus medication. Anyway, I removed the mold and after a week my headaches just stopped completely.

I completely understand how you feel. Getting so many headaches makes life hard, and when you find you do not have a headache, you wonder when its coming back.

I would avoid anything I thought would give me a headache, that's not fair, you can't just stop your life for a headache. I hope you can get to the bottom of the cause of your pain.

Annie,
The mold thing is an interesting thought. I worked in a moldy office
for years and became very ill. In fact, after I left that job, they condemned
the whole floor of the building.
I live in a building next to a very busy road. I often smell the fumes from the
cars and trucks and have wondered if that is making me sick. I bought a carbon monoxide detector, but it hasn't shown dangerous levels, but still, I've been breathing this stuff for years. Also the dust levels in my condo are very high. We run air purifiers in the bedrooms very often.
Thanks for the suggestions.

i've recently had a panic attack and have had a headache for the past 9 days since. on a 1-10 scale, it usually is around 2 or 3 but some days it's a 7 or more. also, my eyes hurt. i guess it could be my eyes since i'm in front of a computer for 4 or more hours a day. i'm 17 and have used a computer my whole life but i recently started using it for 4 hours a day. it used to be only 1-2 hours. i bet the increase finally put my eyes over the edge.

Hey, just saw your post. Yeah, I feel much the same. I get really excited when I have a headache pain free day. I've been like this for 15 years (i'm 27 years old). I've never had problems with sun though. My neurologist thinks I just stress out too much and that causes the headaches. I've tried tons of medications. I now take Nortriptylene (100 mg) daily as a preventative. I still get about 2-3 headaches per week on average. I usually get a major migraine every couple months and then I sometimes go to the ER for a shot of dilaudid. Good luck--there's a huge amount of medication therapies out there. If you want to try alternative medicine--there's many proven methods too. I'm pretty much done with modern medicine: my doctor told me, "I think modern medicine has failed you Lorie." On the schedule now are massages, daily excercise, getting enough sleep, and avoiding alcohol. I hope you feel better.

~Lorie:)
