Has anyone found taking high dose of prednisone (steriod) lessens their symptoms?
The only time I get relief is when I am on prednisone.

I took this in high doses for another illness and it left me very sick. The problems with it are different in people, but I had a bad experience while taking this medicine. I hope anyone taking this will monitor themselves very careful. Good luck to you while taking the meds.

I get about 6-7 shots every 3-4 months for my FMS. I haven't really thought about how my CFS is after the shots. My husband takes the pills now and then and finds no relief from either CFS or FMS. I'll have to keep a daily to figure this one out. I do note that some days I am not needing as much Ritalin as the next but, that could also reflect my movement the day before. My doctor did ask me if the shots made me high, nope. I just notice for a couple of weeks that the back spasums arn't so bad every day. I have been getting shots for 2 years now. I know there are risks with this med and sometimes I wounder if the relief I get is worth the possible problems I could face. It's a catch 22 with me on that one.
