Hi there my name is Margie and I had a Harrington rod and Fusion done when I was sixteen. Now I have Spondylolthesis and DDD. I am now almost 45 yrs. old my pain has been getting a lot worse , and it mainly in my lower lumber region . I was responding to you because when I had my Harrington in it was also with a fusion. Apparently they don't do these operations anymore!!!Gezzz I wonder why??? Anyways I have been on a lot of different pain killers . I have been on Oxycontin, Duragic Patch, and Hydromorph contin. Unfortunately none has been a great long help to me for different reasons.
But I do no a lot about different meds. And I know what it's like to be in pain because right now I am only Percocets, which if my back is reallly bad they don't really help that much I am going to see a Rhumatologist but I don't think they will be able to do anything for me. I also have Crohn's Disease which doesn't make things much better. I know that ddd is basically wear and tear on your joints in your back spine.
