Ok, so if you have just the uterus removed, the ovaries still produce eggs, correct? Are they then released and absorbed into the body? Also, do you still experience PMS symtoms with only ovaries?

You are correct that the eggs are absorbed back into the body.

I had my ovaries removed with my hyst but my 2 sisters kept theres. They still cyle normally, have pms, even breast tenderness, just no period.

I kept both ovaries because I lost my uterus and cervix to a IUD that perforated my uterus near the cervix. I knew when the time for my period was due because my breast still got tender and my food craving for salty and chocolate were as strong as ever. What I did not have was any cramping, bloating, back ache, water retention other then breast. Basically no symptoms in my abdomen. As I got older I realized I was going 2 or 3 months between symptoms so I figured I was entering the change of life. I'm now getting hot flashes even further proof the change has come. The eggs are juat absorbed. Just remember if you keep your ovaries you still have to be checked for ovavarian cancer, and can still get ovarian cyst. My friend who had lost her uterus at a young age but kept her ovarys was able to have her eggs harvested mixed with her husbands sperm and carried to term in her sister's uterus. Amazing!!!!!!!!
