View Full Version : New to the Patch! Creases?

Hi there!
I just got my patch and I put it on today. I think I might have put it in a bad place, I choose my lower back, in between the bra area and my waist where pants would be. I'm a girl with curves, so the abdomen wasn't a nice 'flat' place to put it.... but when I stand and lay down I can feel the patch creasing ... kind of like when you put a bandaid on your knee... its still sticky and in place but it crinkles!
Should I move it? Any suggestions for a nice flat area for a girl with curves? I think it would crease on my bootay too! ^_^;

I wanted to try something new but I guess I might go back to the pill... my doctor only gave me a month suppy with no refills of the patch so, it was worth the try but certainly not the money.... I live in nevada and a girlfriend of mine said that nevada insurance doesn't cover birth control, so I checked online with my insurance and all the other brands of pills and such, like the ring.. they all price at $30. I miss california I only paid $15/mo for ortho tri cyclen.

Thanks in advance for your replies. ^_^

blueange1,

I have been on the patch for about 4 months and I have always put it on my butt towards the top but before my pant line. It does crease and get black stuff around the sides and comes up on the sides but it has never fallen off. I just moved the patch to my lower abdomen yesterday hoping that it will stay on better and have less stuff around the edges.

Since you say you are a curvy girl..maybe you should try your upper arm. You will have to get used to feeling the patch crease. I had to and now I can't even feel it. Just try some different places over the next few weeks and see how it does.

Good Luck!
