My Sister works in an Autism Treatment Centre and we have been doing a bit of research about it and found that Chlorella has done absolutely wonders for a couple kids we tested on. These kids are 3 and 6 year olds. I just couldn't believe the dramatic results. It took about 2 weeks to notice a difference in their behavior. After a month it's as if they don't have this problem anymore, they are much more focused and actually look at the person whose speaking to them and respond. Another autistic child found out that it was dairy causing the problem. Her parents took her off Dairy and she is completely autistic-free. I thought it would be very helpful to those who have children to pass this information on, I think it is very important to at least give this a try, even if you're starting to see signs of autism in your child. The Chlorella I use (I even take it for myself as it is an extremely powerful health supplement).

I wholeheartedly agree. I have strongly felt for a long time now, that diet plays a very important role in children's health. I've even read reports where, when their diet was changed to whole foods without additives, preservatives, chemicals, refined sugar, white flour products, soy, food coloring, etc, that their symptoms were greatly decreased or even eliminated. Luncheon meats, hotdogs, etc., are especially bad for these precious children as are prepackaged/frozen foods. Just look at the ingredients and you will be shocked.
While I would definitely take my child to the doctor for diagnosis of autism, ADD, ADHD or whatever, I would still begin personally to take steps to change the child's diet to wholesome fresh vegetables, fruit, whole grains and lean protein, without dairy. A good food supplement like you mentioned, chlorella, will help provide the child with needed additional nutrients. Our bodies need healthy cells to make a healthy body.
I'm so happy to hear of the results you and your sister have seen from chlorella being introduced into the children's diet.

I am not claiming that Chlorella or a non-dairy diet is ineffective. However, my concern about dramatic differences is where is the data that supports this? Where is the data of what the child was like before the Chlorella and before the non-dairy as compared to what the child was like afterwards? Was there a controlled study isloating the effect of Chlorella and the non-dairy diet? I am just suggesting that unless Chlorella was the only thing being done or unless the non-dairy diet was the only thing being done, it is difficult to attribute the differences of these children due to the diets. Something else could have had an effect on the children's language and looking. I understand as parents, you are willing to try anything that may help your child. However, please understand that certain things may hurt your child more than it could help your child. ( - removed - ) I would like to suggest reading a book written by Catherine Maurice, Gina Green, & Stephen C. Luce entitled Behavioral Intervention for Young Children with Autism. This may help you in deciding what effective treatments are available for children with autism. Again, I am not claiming what you are saying is false, I am simply asking for data that support your claims. Please do not take what I say as offending, I am just concernced about "claims" that are being made that do not have proven results.
