I was wondering if anyone has had the same problem as me,,I just had my 3rd surg. for scar adhesions in abdomin. The Dr. put a type of teflon like stuff so the adhesions would slide instead of sticking..This has been done 2x's,had one surg. done 6 months ago,,as soon as I should have been healing,I wound up having severe pain again,,back for another surg. I go back for my 2 month check up on Wens. but I fear that they have already started to come back already. Starting with the pulling pain, sharp stabbing pain. Has anyone else had this,,and is there an end to it ever?..what is the best type of pain medication, have been taking Vicodan but sometimes that isnt enough, Can someone help with advise?..Been there done that too many times now,I cant go thru this many more times.

Well, aren't we two peas in a pod? Besides 4 other surgeries (all pelvic female related), I then had the "big bang" of 3 sugeries in 5 months, one of which was a hysterectomy. Guess what....I am stillin utter agony due to the adhesions.....the 3rd surgery was to remove...you guessed it..more adhesions after the hyst was supposed to "fix" me. It is a tough road and the more surgery with those buggers the worse it gets. No one will touch me with a ten foot pole unless I get a bowel obstruction(which I was told is pretty likely at some point) as they said I will only get worse than I am now. My suggestion is to take all your records and find a good PM dr. who can help you. I ended up on a long acting med. with a med for breakthrough pain and it has given me some semblance of me life back! :) I can actully get up and do things instead of laying on a heating pad all day crying and wishing I would not wake up. I was soooooo against going this route, but after trying everything(including accupuncture) I realised I had to do something as I have a family to take care of and a life to live. So, I went and am so glad I did. I am taking a base med and breakthrough med that took time to find the right mix for me, but is doing wonders. I wish you the best and if I can answer any questions at all, please ask. I am the queen of adhesions as well!!!! Talk with you soon.. Surgical Disaster  BTW...if you have a surgeon that keep wanting to do surgery to take care of this..be wary, most surgeons I have seen since have said it will make it worse and believe me i have seen a LOT of them!!! (oh, and the pictures just a few months post op from my 2nd surgery even blew my gyn away...way too much scar tissue)
