i had gestantional diabetes when i was pregnant with my daughter, dsiet and excersise didnt help, so i ended up having to inject insulin twice a day. Being 16 at the time, this wasnt very fun!
Me and my partner are thinking of having another child, i was just wondering whether i would be gestantional diabetic in my nect pregnacy?
any help would be greatly appreciated!

There is a possibility that yes, you will be diabetic again during your next pregnancy. I can only go by what I know from a friend of mine who had this. She was also injecting during her pregnancy and even for a short while afterwards. Then she was fine and was able to go off the insulin and didn't need anything else....until she got pregnant again and then she had the same problem. She is also very overweight and doesn't eat correctly so chances are that was a lot of her problem. If she lost weight and ate better then there's a chance she wouldn't have been diabetic with her second pregnancy but there's also a chance she could have been. So to answer your question....yes, there's a chance.

50% of women who experience gestational diabetes go on to become full blown type 2 diabetics later in life.

BUT- if you had gestational diabetes with one pregnancy, there is no reason to think that will definitely happen again. There is a good chance it won't.
Good luck.
