A man that has herpes type 2 said that his doctor told him that herpes spread
and also eventually start attacking the organs inside your body. Has anyone heard this?

If he really heard that from his doctor, he needs to educate his doctor and/or find another doctor. Genital herpes lives in the ganglion that innervates the "boxer short" area, so it won't spread beyond that area. It also doesn't attack any organs. Sheesh.

Well, maybe the guy that told me that is full of it, just trying to scare me. I'm glad it's not true about attacking organs.

the only other organ herpes can attack is the brain, its called herpes encephilitis but that type of herpes is *extremely* rare, and symptoms are similar to menigitis, also if you touch a sore and touch your eye it can spread to your eye, but those are the only other places herpes can infect, you cant have herpes of the heart or anything like that
