I had mine out about 5 Weeks ago. I was wondering how many other Teens/College aged people have also.
Thanks,
Summer Storm
P.S. I feel like a new person! The pain is almost gone! :)

Yeah... I'm 24, but looking back I probably have had problems with it for at least two years if not more.
It seems to be some strange epidemic, with more young people needing their gallbladders out. I've read some places that they blame it on young people eating too much fast food and having high cholesterol. I can't say that I've been skinny, but I don't really eat fast food at all and I'm a vegetarian, plus my cholesterol levels are fine. So who knows. My surgeon didn't really know why I had so many stones, although it could be genetic, I suppose. My grandmother had hers out (although not until she was 50-60).
