I get this everynight before I fall asleep. When im in this phase where im about to fall asleep deeply I stop breathing and I feel as if im paralyzed, but I just notice it after I get a quick jolt that wakes me, has this happenes to anyone? it worries me that I might stop breathing in the middle of sleep and I think of this all the time!

ask doc but its likely normal, we undergo big changes when falling asleep and waking, hallucinations where we feel paralysed arent unusual, also continuing a dream after waking are common

Don't worry about if you can't breath cuz that's just your imagination but you really are breathing.. the same thing happens to me , i 'feel' i can't breath and i am afraid of dying during the paralysis but i read that it's just hallucinating. about being a sleep paralysis before falling a sleep i think it's king of weird cuz the paralysis it's suppost to happen between NREM and REM cycles but you probably think you weren't asleep when you actually was.

I have the same thing happen to me and I'm having a sleep study tomorrow night. I feel like I stop breathing and it happens when I'm falling asleep. I shake myself awake, it's sooo scary!!
