mae_mae 05-23-2005, 12:39 PM ok i have had anxiety for 3 years now and i am 19. i have these little red dot things on my forearms....not a whole bunch but about 10-15 all together???..........does anyone know what this is woodfaery 05-23-2005, 01:07 PM Its been my experience when I am under extreme stress I tend to worry about every kind of ailment possible that I may have. One time I started getting these marks by my neck and could not figure out what they were and then I obsessed over it. Well, I still have those same little marks on my neck (most likely small stretch marks I bet now that I look at it all realistically). I do take medication for depression and anxiety now and I find that I am definately less anxious and definately less depressed. My perceptions are less extreme now too. If you are suffering from severe anxiety or have concerns about your health, make an appointment with your doctor..hon, they are going to be the only ones who are going to be able to diagnose you. People cant guess what you have here. But you can find a wealth of support here. Keep coming back and keep the lines of communication open. These boards are wonderful, and people truly do care. I care, and want you to be ok. Please consider making that appointment. WF mae_mae 05-24-2005, 03:13 PM i've already been to the doctor many time.........i've had EKGs blood tests urine tests upper GI and a heart ultra sound and everything is normal.......then i started getting these spots and i freaked woodfaery 05-24-2005, 06:57 PM Well then you are probably just fine. When I was going through a hard time my concerns and fears were heightned because of anxiety. It sounds like you are suffering from anxiety. Your doctor is the only one who can diagnose this, and then prescribe an ssri or a medication that may be of help. Have you considered that talking to a doc about your emotions may be the best place to start? I wish you well, and above all I hope that the rash or spots goes away. Maybe you are allergic to something? Sometimes its as simple as a rash. Maybe a heat rash? Take care and keep in touch on the boards. WF mae_mae 05-25-2005, 11:07 AM i have already been diagnosed with anxiety and mild depression.......i am taking xanax on an as needed basis....and I also have a psychiatrist who I talk with...and I got the attacking anxiety and depression program but that is all I have done for it so far... woodfaery 05-25-2005, 01:11 PM Wow, it sounds like you are taking some good steps to getting better. I wish you the very best! WF |
