Hello,
I have been having excess stomach gas (or I think that is what it is) that has been bothering me for about 5 months. The gas seems to be at the top of my stomach and I can't get it out. I find myself with pressure in my chest, not pain, just a lot of pressure. I had a barium x-ray and they thought they saw a duodenal ulcer but then I had a scope and they didn't find anything. I don't have H-Pilori and I have had a stress test to rule out a heart condition. I have tried leaving out wheat, milk, sugar, etc. and nothing seems to work. I have tried Gas-X, Prevacid, and another Poton Pump Inhibitor and that doesn't seem to work either. Does anyone have any idea what this could be??? It is driving me crazy. I was such an active person just 5 months ago and now I feel tired, and I am really getting sick of this feeling.
Thanks
Brian Walker

Brian,
Lack of magnesium in your diet can make all muscles in your body not work properly. Every cell contains magnesium -- that includes your esophagus.
My wife had a swallowing problem that was cured with taking magnesium!
I suggest you try taking a magnesium supplment several times daily to increase the absorption.
The daily requirement is 400mgms daily

Thanks Harry,
I have recently tried taking a vitamin supplement and I have been feeling better everyday.
Maybe the magnesium is helping.
I really appreciate your reply.

you say you iliminated wheat, are you sure?? because wheat is pretty much in everything your eyes set on. the best way to go wheat free, is to eat all natural. im on the gluten free diet and, im pretty much surounded..LOL i need to go to specialty stores to get bread and, snacks and, pasta..
