Greetings,
I normally don't post on this board, but I thought that this group may have greater knowledge on these meds than the others.
I have been taking the initial dose of 10 mg Celexa for the last 10 days. Due to some sexual side effects, my doctor wants me to switch to Wellbutrin. Any advice on switching? Should I "cold switch" or should I taper and restart to Wellbutrin? I am taking the meds as therapy for anxiety induced light-headedness/spaciness.
Any input on this would be appreciated.
Regards, Brenden

Brenden, taper off the Celexa taking half of it and half of the Wellbutrin until you are off the Celexa and on Wellbutrin only. Be careful of the Wellbutrin, and watch for any mood swings. Alot of people have had bad experiences with it as it changed their personality in a bad way. My husband tried it and he was like Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. I made him get off it. Scared me to death. Hopefully it will work for you though.

I'd love to hear how your experiment worked. I went from Celexa to Wellbutrin and am in the early stages of taking Wellbutrin.

i used to be on both celexa and wellbutrin at the same time. to me it seemed as though celexa was a nothing pill as i felt no side effects or anything. wellbutrin didnt seem to have any negative effects either. as for switching any meds, you should never go "cold turkey".

Are you being treated with these medicines for anxiety?? Becuase if so, wellbutrin is NOT the medication you need for anxiety; as anxiety is one of the most common side effects.
If anxiety is your main problem, I would really hesitate trying Wellbutrin. I am anxiety prone and when I took one pill of Wellbutrin- I did not eat, sleep, for 4 days and had the worst anxiety of my life.

Greetings,
Well, I am now finally done with Celexa. I weaned slowly, but took the last dose two days ago. Too early to tell I suppose. I don't know if I will start the Wellbutrin. I am kind of disenchanted with the SSRI experiment. Too many side effects.
Regards, Brenden.
