I have been experiencing lightheadedness for 2 years now, I worry about my health all the time, ive had every test you can imagine!
Now I would like to know what causes the lightheadedness in anxiety?
Another thing im concerened about is, when im on a treadmill walking my pulse is at around 110-120 BPM, when i start to jogg very slowly it shoots up to 150-160? is this because im aware of it?
I would appreciate any feedback on this!

I don't know what causes the lightheadedness, but It's definately there. You're probably just too aware of what your heartrate is doing. Easier said than done....but try not to think about it.

Yes, someone once told me that when you are tense specially on your shoulders it can limit oxygen going to your head so there for lighteheaded effect!, I was just wondering if there was any other reason!

I wish I knew, but this has been my number one problem with anxiety. I think that being so aware of every sensation in your body can cause you to feel things you're mind would have passed over otherwise. I have always heard that it is breathing irregularity that causes the lightheadedness. You may be taking shallow, quick breaths and not know it. I have tried to monitor my breathing to see if this is the reason. But this causes me to breathe too deeply and heavily, which in turn causes more lightheadedness. Fun.

Heehee...I'm not laughing at you SirReal - just laughing with you because I can soooo relate. Lightheadedness has been the main concer of late for me too! It's hard to act normal when you feel like you are going to fall down all the time.

To Straight out of Comptons:

I hear you. It sux so bad. I'm glad we can laugh about it here. It's a nice break from the next time I worry about getting out of my chair and falling. Are you guys afraid of passing out, or just falling down?

definately a sign of anxiety. i was dizzy for almost 3 months straight. I actually stood everywhere i went and swayed back in forth so i wouldnt feel it. The day after I went to the DR. and had a melt down in his office they went away. Myabe it is the tenseness in the neck cutting off some circulation. I dont know but it was there and it was definatley worse sitting down. I get them every now and then and controling breathing does also help. breath in (count 1-2) breath out (count 1-2) even and steady. it works during an anxiety attack too.

I am currently feeling the dizziness problem. Your post does make me feel better because I feel like I'm going to have a breakdown. Like you said it feels like I am swaying back and forth or something. I don't know how to explain it...it just feels bad and it scares me into thinking???? yep you guessed it right a b***n tumor.

I have the same thing - If I'm standing up for something I have to keep moving. If I try to stand still I think I'll fall down. As for me the lightheadedness varies. Some times I feel as though I might pass out - while other times I'm just afraid of falling down.
