I recently started taking fish oil and B Complex in an attempt to lower my cholesterol. I am also a menstrual migraine sufferer and take Neurontin to try to lessen the severity of migraines during "that time of the month". Well, this is "that time of the month," and, so far, no migraine! I ALWAYS have one either on day one or two and this is day three with no migraine. "Fishy" I say.
Could either the fish oil or B Complex be helping? Maybe this is a fluke, but the migraines come on like clockwork every month...and many times in between I might add.
Anyone out there take the above for migraine prevention?

I take 100mg of Vit B2 everyday as part of my migraine management program.
I have the yellowest piss in the state of NJ. :D

So you think it's the B vitamin and not the fish oil? I just read good things about fish oil for migraine prevention. I'm continuing to take both, for sure!
Thanks for the reply.

Since I've never tried fish oil (Dr never prescribed it) I can't say.
However, you must understand I am taking B2 in combination w/other migraine medications as I am under a Migraine Management Programe which seems to be working.
I have been under this particular program now for approximately 1 1/2 years.

I have also been taking a super b vitamin for about 2 months - I get menstrual migraines too. it seems to help reduce the severity and longevity of the headaches, but I still get them, so it sounds like the combo of everything you are taking might be doing the trick. Sometimes I think that is the key to anything - finding the right combo. Doesn't seem like any one thing ever does the trick.
