should one be placed on cholesterol meds just because one has suffered a heart attack but their levels are not high? and should one be concerned with legs pain and water retension due to the medication?

Have U asked your dr. why they put U on statins? What exactly are your numbers, and are U sure it is the meds. causing the water retension? This is the first time I have heard of anyone retaining water from the meds. Maybe if U could share a little more history with the group, someone might have more input for you.
