Hey everyone. I'm a 23 y/o female who has worn contacts since she was 16. I always make it a point to take them out at night, but a few nights ago, I accidentally slept in them. The next morning I woke up with a horrible severe stinging in my eyes and I couldn't even barely manage to open them and they are very bloodshot.
Today (day two of the eye problem) it's a gotten a little better, I can at least open my eyes a little now, but they are still bloodshot and they still sting, and water, and it's just god awful. They also seem to be sensitive to any kind of light. I am literally squinting here infront of the comp as I type. I have no idea what is wrong, I've never had this sort of problem with my eyes before, and mind you, I don't ever sleep in my contacts, the last time I accidentally left them in was probably a year or so ago. . and I don't go to the tanning bed or spend time in the sun. I thought it might be some sort of allergy problem or something like that, but honestly I just don't know. Anyone have any ideas about what might be causing this or what this is???
