Like so many of us I have struggled with this wretched illness (1.5 yrs) - thought it might help to list some of the positive aspects that seem so minor but might help everyone if we share the small benefits we may have experienced:- In my case despite all the horrible symptoms: -
- my kids have benefitted from all the extra time with me at home, homework help, etc.
- I have read loads of books over the year and a half,
- learnt a lot about the birds, trees, plants in my garden
- deepened the true friendships, lost the shallow friends who werent worth it anyway
- reflected on past life and how I might change things when well,
- wife still sticking with me !!
Anyone else have any 'plus factors' they can put down to give us ideas and a lift?

Okay Tikkro - I've noticed you've had many views to your request and no posts so here I go I'm going to take a crack at it:
- unlike any other period in my life I have loads of time on my hands which in the past I never had enough of with busy jobs and school work
- I have finished and started a new paint by number kit
- this break has given me the opportunity to consider a career change and time to contemplate in which direction which I am still contemplating so it's a good thing I felt worse last week
- I too have found true friendships and been very dismayed at the number of people I though would be very supportive but in reality just don't get it
- I have spent more time with my family and become closer to them
- I really have time to smell the roses as they say, enjoy the sunshine
- I can now see how crazy our society has become with the do that, get there, make more money, be that all the events - when in really they are no more happy than I am or less so
- I have become (on a good day) a much calmer, laidback person
Now if I could only make money at the same time things would be grand.
