I have been suffering with this darn cold for almost a week and my question is:

1. How long amd I contagious before and after I show symptoms?

I am trying to stay out of everyone's way as much as possible...but I just want to know how soon before I showed symptoms I was able to "share the wealth."

Are you taking antibiotics??? If you are, then you won't be contagious after 24 hours of taking the first dosage. That is, if your infection is bacterial, if it is viral then antibiotics won't help. I wouldn't kiss anyone, drink after anyone, or let anyone drink after you if you are still feeling bad. Also be sure to wash your hands a lot...that is how most of the germs get passed to others...a person covers their mouth and nose when they sneeze or cough and all those germs get on your hands. If you are running a temp. there is a possibility you are still contagious. I hope you feel better soon!
