I'm 16 but I look about 11 or 12. I have quite a high voice that may also contribute to this but where ever I go they ask me for proof of age. I find this embarassing especialy with friends as they have no problems they all look their age. They don't laugh at me but it makes me feel really stupid and quite childish!!

My 2 mates both looked about 13 when they were 17!, anyways puberty kicked in a bit late i guess for them and their balls finally dropped. I'm sure that you will soon enough start to look older as u grow. Dont be embarred about it, when your 40+ u'l be wishing you young again. ;)

I've always looked younger than I am, nowadays I'm 25 and people assume I'm about 18-22. (Seems like, the older the person, the younger they perceive me to be!) I know that everyone is gonna tell you this, but you'll be glad about this as you mature. Its annoying to look younger now, but you've got a lot of life ahead of you as a mature adult and you'll be very glad you appear younger.

Are you a guy? Because guys when they're young want to look older, whereas old ladies want to look younger. Anyhow, just be patient and wait, when you get to be my age (24/m), you might actually like it! I would still appreciate it if some of you can respond to my posting titled "women look better young, men look better old?" I personally don't think this is always true.

A lot of young guys mature slowly but I'd check w/ a doc about your voice. Do the men in your family have high voices or low ones? Did theirs change late? Might want to find out. There may be a hormone imbalance....???!!! HOpefully you're just a late bloomer.

I'm 30, and I've never been told that I look over 18. When I was your age, I looked younger than my age too. It does kind of annoy me sometimes, but I try to keep a light attitude about it. Hey, some of the people I hung out with in high school look pretty rough, so maybe you'll be thankful later.

I think when you get in your 50s and 60s the anxiety about looking younger will be a long lost memory. A ton of people in this world would absolutely be thrilled to look younger than thier years and not worry about it what so ever.
The best thing I have seen to maintain youth and a natural young look is to eat right, diet and excercise, and absolutely stay away from drugs and alcohol. I recently saw a documentary show, and a 23 woman was fighting a heavy addiction to heroin. She easily looked 10 to 15 years older. The good news is she stopped and was able to regain that youthful look.
Be proud of how young you look it won't be forever.
