View Full Version : My throat is driving me nuts

Hi, I have had this problem for over 3 weeks. The back or my throat is a bit swollen and has patches of white. I am always swallowing and trying to clear my throat. I have no fever, headaches or pain. My doctor says it is a nasal drip infection and I have taken antibiotics (Roxithromycin) for 5 days with no change. Any ideas? I am going to ask for different medication.

That's what my throat looked like when I had tonsillitis...or it could be something like strep throat. In which case it is a virus so medication won't really help and you'd have to ride it out.

Thanks for your reply, the doc gave me claratyne which helped a bit but now I have run out and the problem is still there. I was hoping if it was a virus it would have gone by now? Hey I just noticed we are from Auckland NZ, isnt the weather cold, maybe thats my problem,HEHE
