Hi,

My 7 year old son has all the symptoms of flu. He has 102 fever, a headache and a sore throat. I have kept him off school, but within the last few hours he has started complaining that his belly is really hurting. However, he has not been sick or had diarrhea, so I just wonder what is going on?

Should I be worried by this. When I ask him, he cannot be specific and just says that his belly hurts all over?

Has anyone else had this expereince and if so can they help?

Cheers

How is your son's diet? It is important that he gets adequate vitamins and fruits and vegetables in the future, and especially that he is in school and school's tend to be germ factories. Look up in a search engine such as yahoo, altavista, etc vitamins beginning with A and ending at K. You'd be surprised at all the informative info out there and if you apply yourself you can help both you and your kids. Have you've ever tried juicing vegetables? The juice tastes great and there is no calories and best of all it's all natural, with no preservatives or chemicals. If you give your child vitamins A,C,D everyday your childs health can only improve.

Hi,

Thanks for the advice I will try it.

As well as improving overall health, are they good for belly ache as well? Mostly, my son enjoys good health, but he does complain about a sore belly quite frequently.

Thanks

Sarah

Hi,

Thanks for your help. His diet is fine and I do give him vits regularly.

I found the answer to the belly pain in the end though. I took him to our doc, as he was still complaining two days later. Doc examined his belly thoroughly and said that he had enlarged lymph nodes in his belly. He said this was normal in kids and that once he got over the flu and his glands went down his bellyache would also go.

This happened like he said and he is real well now.

Thanks anyway.
