Hello everyone,
I've been having one cold after another
for the last 3 months. I don't even get
rid of one when BANG another one comes.
I'm starting to get a little bit concerned
and a lot fed up. Could there be something
wrong with my immune system? As anybody else
gone through this. Any answers would be greatly
appreciated.
Thank you and stay well http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/smile.gif

Your quote of "could there be something wrong with my immune system" why yes it's weak and you need to make it stronger.Try researching vitamins on the web, starting with vitamin A all the way to K.Also why not look into a juice machine, like the ones advertised on TV. If you stick to the vitamin supplements and juice up some vegetables your colds will be greatly reduced.
It is also a great way to loose weight as there isn't many calories in vegetable juice. As for me I finally bought a juicemachine and the results have been good and buying vegetables, fruit and produce is inexpensive.

If you're having recurring "colds" it may not be the common cold. Do you smoke or are you around people who smoke alot? Do you use ecstasy or cocaine regularly - if so you will end up with neverending cold/flu symptoms that you can only get rid of if you quit using for a while. It could be an allergy to something where you live or where you work. It could be chronic bronchitis or an indication of something wrong with your respiratory system. If you have a respiratory infection you will need antibiotics. What are your symptoms? If you haven't been able to shake your symptoms you should really go see a doctor to make sure it's nothing serious.
A question to WL042901
You mentioned that ecstasy use and cocaine contribute to painful throat aches and cold like symptoms. Is that true? My boyfriend has had consistent headaches and swollen glands in his throat for a few weeks now. It's not a cold or anything. He thinks it may be from the X. He quit doing it, but is wondering if it caused long term damage. Any ideas on that? thx!

I'm in the same boat! I'm suffering my third cold this year (2002). I'm starting to wonder if I have chronic sinusitus that keeps flaring up.
Have you ever coughed so hard your skin hurts? It happened to me today for the first time and I'm 42.
