About a week ago, my 7 year old son came down with a fever on sat. night. He had it too on sunday, but it was gone by monday. At 10 o'clock, i got a phone call from the nurse telling me that my son had an 103 fever and a sore throat. On wednesday he went back to school. At 3 he came home looking very tired and pale. He had a 102 temperature again. Today he went back to school, but around 9:30 he was throwing up in the nurses office and had a temperature again. We went to the doctor who said aside from the fever there was nothing wrong that he could see. Tonight he said he felt better and had no sign of a fever anymore. So, is it school tomorrow? Fever tomorrow? What do i do? HELP ME, I'm really lost!!

I'm surprised no one answered your post, but don't worry I have a solution. For a cheap alternative first buy some Vitamin C tablets and give him some and make sure he takes it everyday. If he doesn't like the Vitamin C medicine crunch up the pill and give it to him with some juice. Also don't buy those flavoured Vitamin C tablets as there harder on the tooth enamel buy the tablets with bioflavonoids if possible they work best. For your families continued health why not invest in a juice machine. Just cut up the ends of the carrots give them a quick wash and then feed them into the tube and voila instant juice, just give it a quick stir when your ready to drink it. You can also mix the carrot juice with apples or pears, oranges etc. The juice tastes great and the kids will be coming back for a second glass. You owe it to yourself to try and start juicing for the whole family you won't be disappointed with the results.

I don't know about where you live, but here in New York, the flu is running rampant. It seems to be very much like what you described. My daughter (5 yrs. old) caught it and had a fever off and on again for 10 days. I too was unsure if I should send her in and just when I was about to send her back to school, her fever would elevate. This was in December. In February she caught it again. But this time it was milder. Next year ... the flu shot!

Hi!
I hope that your son beat the flu bug! It took my 2 year old a week to get rid of the fever - this was in January. We got it again in February! No fever this time though. To respond to the other post - we drink juices, take vitamin C - vitamins - the whole bit - trust me - it won't beat this flu bug!! This thing is a kicker!! I have finally beat it after getting on the Z-Pak, now my two year old got the Viral Conjunctivitus (I got rid of mine) - another thing this nasty flu brings with it! LOL!
