Hi,
Normally if you catch a cold, then the cold virus can lead to a secondary sinus infection. Normally, if you have a sinus infection you may have less sneezing and it may hurt to blow your nose, more so than with a cold. You may have a severe persistant headache and pain round the cheek bones where the sinuses are. Also on the forehead. There may not be as much sneezing as with a cold and you may feel more blocked up.
Hope this helps?
