for the past 2 weeks I have been experiencing the most bizarre sickness..the symptons include diziness,alot of sweating and shaking,weakness in the legs and arms,Cold sweaty hands and feet!and the occasional muscle spasms..Its really starting to wear me down and makes me quite emotional...A week ago my Gp said it was teh flu but now im not so sure becasue noone i have been in contact with has gotten sick...I dunno what is happening and I dont like it..Im worried..any suggestions as 2 what could be wrong!

i don't know if it is flu, but if your doctor said so than i would take that into account. however, when i experience fatigue, i tend to feel similar. therefore, might i suggest that you get plenty of rest - go to bed no laterthan 23:00 hrs pm and get up no later than 09:00 hrs am. Drink lots of water and fruit juices, no coffee, tea or fizzy drinks, and get some fresh air.

Flus don't tend to last that long [i.e., 2+ weeks].
Public health monitors flus. Call them up and ask if there's a new strain or an outbreak of a long-lasting flu in your area [or in the area you visited up to one week before your symptoms appeared].

There are other possibilities esp. if you've recently traveled to mosquito/tic infested areas. You can also pick up 'bugs' from contaminated water and food. Check the CDC [Center for Disease Control] site for info.
