Hi, i'm 20 years old and the first couple of times i had sex ( around 1-2 years ago) i used to be EXTREMELY freaked out about getting pregnant even after using protection. Now I have a new boyfriend, this one is older than me and i feel a REALLY strong special bond between us. Now when i have sex with him it's different.. i'm not even afraid to be pregnant anymore, even if i had unprotected sex once after my period .. I feel like i'm not afraid to be pregnant.. not that i want to but I feel very relaxed even if i have more chance to be pregnant than with my first boyfriend. I know that it's not a very good time to get pregnant now but I feel that If i get pregnant I'll be prepared because If i can get pregnant i have that capability. Is this because I'm more mature? going through a stage? I really would like to hear what other women think about this.
thanks !

:D

It sounds to me like you are more comfortable with you're new boyfriend and have a more stable relationship than with you're ex, so you feel that if you were to get pregnant, he would be there for you. I was the same way, with my ex, I was on birth control, and I was always freaking out about getting pregnant...needless to say, I'm positive he wouldn't be there for me if i were to have gotten pregnant. But my fiance`, he is 100% there for me, and I don't fear anything with him. He would support any decision that I made and help me through it. Maybe that's all it is...
