hi all
my mom age 65 is a diabetic sufferer for few years now, she use to get skin cracks on soles of her feet and hand palms.
we have visited several doctors+dermatologist, the medication prescribed
like creams give her temporary relief only.( betnovate, fucidin, etc etc )
the skin in her feet now bleeds.her sugar level is well within 155-179 range
with medication.
is there any other medication someone had used and is useful to control the skin problem even herbal will do.
kindly advice,
regards

My diabetic doctor always tells me to keep my blood levels at 140 max. However I know many cannot do this and often I cannot.
I would ask a diabeties doctor about this problem and find out for sure if that is where the problem is coming from. I know it sure could be, but it could be other things as well.
Ask your doctor what he or she thinks would help.
I have no idea as to medication, but if it is caused by bad circulation from diabetes perhaps some low level exersise might help get the blood to that needed area?

My skin gets pretty dry but I control it with lots of lotion. Something that we used when our skin would get so dry it cracked in dry winters, was Bag Balm. It is the only thing I've found that worked.

thanx 4 the responses

actually the problem is definitely got to do with diabetes
we met as i said, dermatologists whom they all mentioned
that diabetes plays a major role in skin complications.
the problem is we could not yet found a proper medication
i have heard that HOMEOPATHY have mediction to control the skin eruptions.
