I was put on zoloft for PPD after my second child was born and although it worked wonders, it made me fat and stupid! After going through horrible withdrawls (which also happened when going off paxil after the birth of my first child) a good portion of the weight came off. I have been on Wellbutrin for a few months I am starting to feel better and now the weight is coming off rather rapidly but I am still having anxiety attacks which I am occasionally taking Xanax for which is working pretty well but now my doctor wants to put me on a low dose of Lexapro (1/2 a pill a day) to try to help with the anxiety. She didn't think that such a low dose would cause weight gain or withdrawls but I'm terrified to start them. What have some of your experiences been with Lexapro? Should I wait until I am at my goal weight to start? Thanks for any imput you might have!

Alot of SSRi's can actually cause nervousness and anxiety in some people.

Lexapro has been a life saver for me!!! Been taking it Since April 22 and feel like a new person (for the better) not only lifted the depression but the anxiety as well. I laugh more , feel motivated and for the first time in years I am having fun with my kids. I haven't gained any weight, not to say I won't but haven't yet.
