I was just wondering what you all do when this happens when you have to go to work.

My place of employment I have to be there, because I am the only one who works the shift, and if I miss, no ones going to be there... which just isn't possible.

So on my bad days (like today) I just have to go and "tough it out"... I was wondering what any of you do about this, if it causes you stress, and how you deal with it?

Imodium is great at stopping the D, but I don't like taking it too much anymore because its constipating.. I'll take it and then won't go for 2-4 days, and then the cycle starts over again. So I would rather just get it out, but sometimes it can be very hard because I can't leave the desk and use the bathroom all the time, and you know when you just gotta go.. think of the stress!

Right now I have about 15 minutes before I have to leave to go work all night, and I'm stressin... cuz its one of the bad days, I may have to end up taking imodium.

Has anyone else found anything that works as fast as imodium but doesn't have the constipating side effects?

I mean I've tried anti-spas. like Donnatal and Librax.. Librax was the most recent, but strangely.. it seems to make things much worse.

I think I might have to go back on the Donnatal, and truthfully I might have to take some imodium down.

wish me luck

more of a frustration post!

This may seem like a ridiculous suggestion, but have you tried taking more fiber (metamucil) on a regular basis? My doctor recently suggested this since I suffer from IBS-D myself.
