I am a diabetic type 2 that has controlled my diabetes through diet. However, over the past two years I have experienced some health problems that have caused some strange spikes and quick drops that really bother me but do not seem to concern the physician world.
I just started eliminating foods out of my diet because foods like bread do a rapid rise and keep me to high almost making me feel like I am going to pass out.
Then there are other foods like something real sweet that give me a rapid rise and then drop. The thing that bothers me most about this is the rapid change in one day within hours and being able to feel the rise and falls of my blood sugar changing. I never used to be this sensitive to my blood sugar changing.
Has anybody out there experienced simular phenomena? What did you do about it? Please do not recommend an Endocrinologist because I have found them less concerned and less knowledgable than the regular family doctor. It seems like with this disease you have to educate yourself unfortuneately. Any help or pointers would be appreciated.
