I have had chronic sinus and allergy problems for years. Claritin helps very little, really all it does is dry out some of thrunny nose and nasal drip. I also just had a moderately infected tooth pulled. I have been exhausted for t he past three days. cant stop yawning, constantly feel spaced out and foggy headed. Now, I always feel a little foggy because my sinus problems are pretty much constant. I also have vision that is just a little fuzzy. Not really blurry, but just sort of not 100%.(Could be from staring at the computer all the time...heh). I feel like I am not connected to my body. Anyone else feel like this? Does anyone think the infections could cause the mahjor fatigue?

YES...and yes, I got like that when I'm super stuffy, but when I have an infection, I'm definently *extremely* tired!

I must agree with Midget.
There are a few postings (threads, actually) that describe "brain fog" in detail. Quite a few memebrs have posted some great information - might want to browse them a bit. Hopefully, they'll be reassuring. Sure helped me.

I find that both allergic symptoms as well as infection (alone or in combination) make me very fatigue. In fact, fatigue is often the first sign that I'm going to have an allergy attack.

Definitely. And I suspect your infected tooth spread to your sinuses.

I was constanly what I though was sick, but it turned out to be ALL allergy related!! It could be an infection too. Did the dentist give you anitbiotics too?? I know they did when my husband had his tooth pulled. If so if you had a sinus infection I would think it would have taken that out too!! But I dont know for sure!! I'd go see the doc cause there may be something more that you never knew about!!!! TRUST me on that one!! I had NO clue I had food allergies and I have 4 and I am pretty allergic!!!! Not to mention being pretty allergic to all of the environmental allergies, out and indoors!! It had made a HUGE difference with me. It is worth getting it checked out!!

I just had my 6th sinus surgery. I still have horrible pressure in my head, earaches, toothaches, fatigue..the list goes on and on. This is really my last resort. I need help. Anyone have suggestions?

My understanding is that when you have an allergic reaction, your body senses it as an illness (which it is) and kind of "shuts down". It's telling you you're sick and need to rest. Yes, brain fog is very common. I get major brain fog with allergy attacks. Vitamins help, especially C. LOTS of water, too.

The tv stations in my area recently started reporting traces of ragweed in the air (about 2 days ago) and exactly at the same I started craving more caffeine and chocolate. (It's not PMS, I promise.)
I've also got the "cranky's" and I have no motivation. I just want to lie around and ignore my kids.
Mind you, 3 days ago I did not feel this way. I felt happy and energetic, optimistic and productive.
I started noticing these patterns several years ago, always coinciding with allergy seasons and lasting, in varying degrees of severity, until the pollens dissipate. (I started keeping records and have been able to link everything through my notes.)
I would love to figure out how to deal with this. I am incapacitated for large parts of the year, end up being too tired to exercise or do fun things with my family. It takes enormous effort to just get by. I don't have much congestion, and I'm not sneezing, no watery eyes, etc. So I don't have traditional symptoms. Not sure the traditional remedies will help because of that.

Hi
Depending how strong my allergies are, I actualy feel like having a fever with cold sweats and fatigue. An allergic reaction is just like having an infection, because your body is on the defense.
